antler restoration pictures
Hey guys, some of you may have seen this buck I found while shed hunting a week or so ago... I decided to try and restore it into a skull mount as practice... I started by bleaching the skull and gluing the seams so it was tight again... I then tried staining the antlers... Let me know what you think, the antlers are a bit shiny in the pic since the stain was still a little wet but you get the idea...
Here he was when I found him: ![]() And here is the 'finished product', assuming I don't keep tinkering (which I will): ![]() |

Looks pretty cool if you ask me. I might have to try that with some of the year old sheds I have found.

I have an old set I was thinking about doing that to. That gives me motivation. |
