RE: is talidermy hard to learn???
kev - nothing worth learning is easy. And with taxidermy, if you're gonna be good - you never stop learning. Studying pictures till your eyes hurt, cause you want that eye perfect. Things you never noticed become important, I never cared about a deer's nose or how it holds it's ears. As far as costs, what animal? what pose? lifesize? 1/2 lifesize? If you really want to learn, nothing - AND I MEAN NOTHING - will stop you. I drove 35 min each way to learn, and have friends that drove over 1.5 hrs. For me it has become like an obsession, I strive to learn more. A girl that I have been helping drives 2 hrs to get advise from a friend. It's a love and a lifestyle, for me. I've never been prouder than seeing my first ribbons or when my first paying customer paid me a bonus.
