Well, JeremyKS, that muley was actually killed by my great grandpa in Gunison Colorado in 1950. He had it mounted and it hung in his house for over 45 years untill he passed away. My family was going to throw it away so I took it. My great grandpa was proud of this buck, proud enough to have it mounted and hang on his wall. I wasn't about to let it get trashed. Well, obviously, the mount was in poor shape and at the time I didn't have the money to get it re-done, so it hung in my fathers garage for the next few years. Well, just last year, I took it to my taxidermist to see if he could get me another cape and remount it. We discussed how to mount the buck and came up with this form and base. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. On the base I put a metal plaque that reads"Taken byHomer ForestStout in Gunison Colorado, October 1950."

I sat down and Grossed him out just a few months back. His inside spread is 29.5 inches, Main beams were approx 28+ inches. I gross scored him at 185.5 inches. That could be off an inch or two, but it's close. He's a real dandy buck and anybody that ever comes over to the house and see's that room, always comments about that buck first. I couldn't bemore proud of him andI am so grateful that he didn't get thrown away.

very Nice mounts everyone.

This is my latest mount. My dad shot this one in the WV archery season. It's no big buck, just a small yearling doe. But it has a real pretty short haired cape...It's going to go next to the buck I did for my dad.
