Cleaning Pelt

I just finished cleaning a grey fox pelt. It's dried out now and all good to go...except on the bottom of the pelt (the opposite side of where the fur is) it's dirty...and also the fur has some mud and all in it. How can i clean these things up?

The fur,a hair brush, and brush the mud out.The skin,I can't say, with out seeing it,but it should be OK.

Just leave it as it is and send to the tannery, or if you are going to tan it after you rehydrate it, wash with a mild soap and rinse the hair, but most tanneries do that for you.

Try using a power washer, My local taxidermy place told me that he uses a power washer on all his furs after trapping.
