GREAT buck CONGRATS ...hate that it took so long ... I personally think thats just TOTALLY irresponsable of a taxidermist to keep a mount that long ... next time geta Professional like Bill Yox ....

Nice looking mount there Ken. Hard to tell fromjust onepic, but there's2-3 extra things the taxidermist could have done, like a more distinct upper eye-lid, and painting of the ears, instead of leaving it at a dead, dried look. You'd be suprised how much something as simple as just painting the ears, would make thewhole mount look better. Not a bad looking mount though. Congrats Ken, and thanks for sharing.

Your taxidermist must have 1 arm or something...2 years is a long time.

DocDeath, thats funny...I know you put the good word in for me, and I appreciate that, but...My turn around time is about that long too. And I have both arms! I have a very heavy workload, and just one of me here. I have learned to quote those long turn around times, though. I used to try to stay competitive on time, but it only got me in trouble when I couldnt deliver. So, now I tell 'em up front. But I give them something that they say is worth the wait. Obviously the guys that wouldnt wait that long tell me Im nuts. To them, maybe thats so. But Im always that far out on completion, so theres at least that many guys each year who WILL wait, or Id get caught up! Im thankful for the good customers I have...

Nice buck.

The eye work could stand some correcting, doesn't look like they are set at 45 Degrees forward and 9 degrees down ward, the bottom eyelid is set to high on the glass.
The ears should be finished with a powder white.
