My new passion with PVC. And It works great if you learn how to build them right.

I have an obsession with traditional longbows and recurves...every PVC pipe is begging to be cut down for me to uncover the bow that lay within...now I am looking at every PVC pipe to find the natural bow, slingbow and slingshot hidden inside.

What kind of poundage do you get with these? Looks to be fairly fast. I would worry a bit about using it in freezing temps however. Might be a good survival-type weapon should it get that bad. Any ideas on arrows?

MZS, There have been alot of others do experiments with the weather and stuff. The weather doesn't effect the pipe or the poundage of draw or make the pipe brittle. The poundage of the bow in the video is 45 lbs. @ 27 inches. That bow has been strung up for more than one year and still draws 45 lbs. The trick of the sch. 40 pipe is how we taper the limbs. It's kinda like tillering of the wood bows. I will shoot with anyone with the same poundage bow and will be within 5-10 fps. Give me some time to make plans for hunts and other shooting activities with these bows to demonstrate they are as good as the wood counter part. Stay Tuned...And always keep an open mind. Thanks
