Going to my first Video Range this weekend
Yeah, so I'm pretty pumped. After shooting my compound bare for a week, I'm picking it up from the shop this Friday with sights and stuff and I'm wicked excited to try their video range. I've seen vids of them and they look awesome! Seeing as I'm not getting my hunter education card til September, I can see myself spending a lot of time at this place.
Yeah, just wanted to share cause I'm really excited and I'm a dork lol.

Okay, so the only thing I can't seem to figure out is the kill zone as determined by the computer. I mean, frankly, I shoot for fun first and foremost, but I just find it both humorous and slightly frustrating when I know that I landed a kill shot on an animal, but I don't get any points because apparently the computer believes the only thing that will put an animal down is shot just slightly behind the front knee --- on EVERY animal!
Ha, oh well. It's still fun and I plan to shoot the league in a couple months.

dont get frustrated if it says your shot is off from where you know you hit it lol, some times the projectors get off line with the sensors. i acctually found out if your "playing" against your friends it helps to shoot a lighted nock IMO

Just don't do like I did and shoot field points!!!! Oops.
Never did the video thing, and rarely do any archery range thing as I have my own setup at my house. Nobody told me about using blunts or special tips. Guess what. I went thru the screen, thru the plywood and into a wall.
I felt horrible. But no-one told me.
