Default What was your best score?

Shooting at 20 yards, what was your best score with Xs? I really don't know if I will ever do it, but I hope to shoot a 300 someday. I know that there are a ton of variables, categories, etc., but I am just trying to see what would make you proud. What is your best and what is your goal?

Greg, did you shoot BHFS, or Open? Good shooting, I wish you would show us whipper snappers a thing or two in the league.

I've never really shot a lot of 5 spot to be honest, we have a pretty big vegas following around here.I have shot a lot of 300's in the mid 50's x count range. I've cleaned the vegas face 2x though, once on a 300 game, and once on a 450 game.

Good shooting Greg! Back when I shot compound 15 years ago my best score was 292 I think (I can't remember the x count) The bow was an XI Impact. Set at 65lbs, no release (shot fingers), no stabilizer, 2 dollar pins that were nothing fancy, less then 65% let off. It was my hunting rig, weight never got turned down. I averaged right around 280 during league with it.

I did that shooting mens Freestyle (open), with a scope and a pool cue hanging out the front. Actually, it was an SAP 8X scope with the big circle instead of a dot and a 30" carbon sticks stabilizer, Carter Fat Boy release and 2613 X-7s.

I also shot BHFS with a home made pin and 12" Carbon Sticks, same arrows and release. My best ever in that class was 57Xs, did that more than 5 times.

My best year, 1999/2000, I was averaging 55 Xs BHFS and 57 Xs Freestyle. I was shooting a HCA Discovery (still do) @ 56 lbs. I dumped the original steel cable and tear drop system along with the wheels and converted it toPSE Mach 9 wheels and synthetic string and cables.

My favorite releases are Carters and 2 finger Stans, all back tension.

I haven't shot indoors in a while but would like to get back into it, so would the GF. If I wasn't careful, she'd whip my a$$. She was averaging 53Xs in womens BHFS! She still has our state record.

That's pretty cool stuff, I had seen you mention being a spotty in the past.

If you ever get the itch, hop on into the indoor forum and have some fun with us! I'm thinking of doing some sort of HNI weekly outdoor distance shoot later this spring where we can maybe shoot 30, 40, 50 yards.........similar to how you would shoot a 540 round outdoors only different # of arrows and distances. I'm thinking maybe 36 arrows total on an 80cm fita face. Should be fun......
