Hi there. I've been totally consumed by trying to plan a public land elk hunt in Idaho. I have a shoestring contact in saint maries and was focusing my research in the panhandle national forest zone 5 or 6. I'd be happy coming back with anything-cow, spike, doesn't matter. I just want to do a backcountry hunt and experience the West. I live in rural upstate New York, so this is a major haul for me (36 hours of driving). My wife and I recently (finally...) found a house and property here with 112 acres. We also have great walleye fishing only a few miles away. My in laws live just a couple miles away and have a dairy farm with 150 acres. Good whitetail hunting in this area. I'm learning my property (as we've only had it a few months...) but putting in several food plots this spring. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please message me!
