Default 2017 Illinois deer hunt for NH bear hunt

Hi I'm looking for someone interested in swapping a deer hunt on private land in Illinois for a black bear hunt in NH. Tons of bears around up here and we have the ability to bait. Bow or rifle your choice. Looking for possible ongoing hunting arrangement. Open to other Midwest states also.

Do you have any points for Iowa?

No I do not. Iowa doesn't offer a lot of public land so I've never really looked into hunting there.

You can buy points in the spring for $50. Better units like 4 or 5 take 3 points usually to draw and archery tag.

Good to know I was always told it takes about 3 years to draw a tag.

Hey NH,

You might check out Outdoor Partners in IL. It is a DIY camp where you are given several farms to hunt with no one else but your group. You scout, hang your own stands, and hunt on your own. They show you the boundaries and where deer have been seen in the past. A 120" minimum or 8pt and 15" spread. I hunted there twice, saw many deer and good bucks. Took a 152" my first year.

Anyway, thought it would be something you might want to check into if you can't find a swap. It is a little hard to get a spot as most people rebook.

It is possible to get a late muzzle loader tag on first try it happens slot lately. You will surely draw year two. my wife kills giants every year. I even killed a booner late season with my bow two years ago.

Thanks I'll check it out. I'm all about DIY I went out to Ohio last year and did a DIY on public and shot a decent 8.
