Default RE: Crates?

There was a case a couple years ago, when a dog was riding in the backseat of a car (uncrated). The car was involved in a rollover accident. The owner was knocked unconscious, but the dog only had minor injuries. The problem arose when the Ambulance/Rescue crew got there. The dog (in protection mode because of the accident) wouldn't let the Rescue folks anywhere close to the owner. So they had to wait for animal control to arrive and take the dog, before they could help the human.

Doc I had that very same thing happen this winter on a rollover. took me awhile to get the dog out of the car so they could get at the person.
I also NEVER let my dog run in the truck box itself.
