Please help with shots
I am getting ready to giv my pups (7 weeks old) their vaccination shots. I purchased the 7 in one shots and the pharmisist says I need to give them again in 2 weeks. How do I give them their shots? When I was younger my dad used to pull up on the skin on top of the neck but I want to make sure I do it correctly and do not hurt my dogs. Any info would be great.

RE: Please help with shots
the shots should have a pic. of the dog and where and how to give it. if not pinch up the skin on the back of the neck or shoulder give the shot into that loose skin.that all there is to it.
it shouldn't hurt the pup,and yes you need to give at least two shots.one now and another in a few week and I give another in about 6 mo. then onece a year. |
RE: Please help with shots
A better choice would be to do it through your Vet. Only slightly more expensive -- and worth every penny.

RE: Please help with shots
Make sure that the shots that you are buying are actually going to work for a pup that age. Some shots will only work if the pup is so old. Many manufactuers give a suggested age for their products to be used.
