Gunshy dog

I was wondering if anyone tried the audio cd by masters voice called Gunshy cure ?
I have a 2yr. 4month old GSP That is showing signs of Gunshyness. He has a great nose and seems very birdy. But is very skittish when I fire a shot. I was on a hunt last weekend with 4 friends lots of shots fired. At first he seemed to be doing good. but after the firing really started he lost heart in it, and would not even lock up on the bird. I think he associated scenting the bird with gun fire which he seems not to like. the dog seems timid by nature, but doesn't seem to mind other loud noises. and doesn't seem to mind the sight of the gun. I also hunt with him My Springer whose nose doesn't seem to compair with my GSP. My dogs are also my buddies not just a tool to hunt with, lots of time spent together and I'm not just going to ditch him for another dog. I'm willing to spend the time to try to correct this but I need some imput. Thanks for help in advance

Go to www.coonriverkennels.com and look for a link that will take you to an article about how to correct gunshyness.
