RE: Argentine Dogos

And the rest of the story is.......my son and I went to meet the puppies, and parents. Both parents were awesome and most gentle.
I intended to get the one male that was left and am a firm believer in the fact that a pup actually picks its person and not the other way around. ;) The next to the largest female picked my son and I out to be her people. At 2 1/2 months old she weighs in at 30 lbs and is simply awesome!!

In the 24 hours we have had her she has..gone from her "home", the one she has known since birth to ours. Made friends and bonded with all of our other animals, taken a bath without any struggle whatsoever, is laying down, sitting, and coming to her new name on hand signal and verbal command in addition to being leash trained with no problem. All of this will need to be reinforced on a daily basis with something new being introduced daily. ( Been training large breeds for extra income for years. :)) However she is in one word just AWESOME!! She also far exceeds my expectations and that is putting it mildly. My son is her boy.....she is his shadow. :) Very alert and does not miss a stitch. The only situations we have had so far was that I neglected to "puppy proof" the house prior to bringing her home and she found a roll of toilet paper is a wonderful thing to get the end of and trail all over the house, and that the box part(not the bandaids) of bandaids is a joy to shred to bits in the bathroom. lol

Just had to edit to include this.....our Wolf "Shaman" took to her immediately( yep, he is neutered) allowed her to share his house, food and water, then put her in her place was over a squeeky toy, it was only a gentle reprimand on his part though. LMAO...go figure.

I will try to get some pics of Sadie Mae posted shortly.....Sheesh get my son in kindergarten and then take on a new baby. Glutton for punishment or what?? LOL Sadie has so far been very much of a joy!! Thanks to all that emailed with information, as talking to breeders and other owners of the breed was a key point in making my final decision! Your input has been so very much appreciated. :D

RE: Argentine Dogos

glad you checked it out thoroughly before deciding. We once had a great pyranees(sorry-spelling)(200+lbs and bred to kill wolves). He was THE biggest baby you ever saw, loved ALL people.
