protect your hunting partner

Hey guys. I usually dont post alot but I felt like I needed to this time. I just want to remind everybody to please put your dog on some type of heartworm preventative. I have treated two dogs in the past 2 weeks for heartworms, and while we can treat them, it is expensive and sometimes very hard on the dog. Furthermore, heartworms could kill your hunting partner. It does cost a little extra to keep them on the preventative each month, but it is a lot cheaper than the treatment, and alot less inconvenience than having to get and train a new dog (not to mention the heartache of losing a good freind). If you havent been treating your dog, please have your vet check them first, and then start the preventative. Again, Just a freindly reminder from a fellow hunter and dog lover.

Everyone should worm their dog against heartworm.

Thanks for the reminder. I have seen the pictures at the vets of a dog with a worst case scenario. Awful sight.
