Drake...I use pro Plan Performance and it is a great feed. Healthy coat, lots of energy and healthy, happy dog to boot. You will not be disappointed!

I too have sent them a letter regarding my disappointment in IAMS support of the Humane Society. Going Purina now.

i dont know what their stance on hunting is or who they support, but Hills makes a high quality dog food- just as good as Iams or Eukanuba. Some might call it Science Diet. regardless, its good stuff.

Got an e-mail back from Iams customer service te otherday. They were sorry about me not using there product anymore and gave numerous excuses why they chose to do this event with HSUS, mostly saying they wanted to heighten peoples awarness on pet ownership. They also said they do events with other organizations, i.e. retrievertrials etc. Kind of conflicts with each other if you ask me.

I sent a e-mail also.
I clearly stated that as a small breeder of Epagneul Bretons, I would inform our new puppy owners and peers of their charitable contribution to HSUS. I also stated that if they feel the same way we did about it, they would not be using their product anytime in the future.

Thanks for the post. I just sent a nasty message to IAMS withdrawing myself as a future customer.

This is the response I received from Iams. Please judge their commitment to sportsmen for yourselves...

We appreciate that you have been feeding your Brittany's our Iams food; and we
appreciate that you have taken the time to voice your concerns about our
affiliation with HSUS. Thank you for helping us to understand the issue
regarding Iams involvement with Petfest America. We were not aware of these
concerns when we decided to get involved with this event-we were focusing on
reaching pet owners.

Though our response to you is consistent with the response sent to others who
have contacted us, I want you to know that we are taking note of each
individual's comments.

The Iams Company is sponsoring Petfest America with the HSUS to educate and
entertain pet owners throughout the United States. These six events will help
bring pet care and nutrition information, as well as the Iams Superdogs, a
world-class agility group, to thousands of pet lovers throughout the country.

In addition to Petfest, we are present at a variety of events throughout the
year in an effort to educate and entertain concerned pet owners on the
incredible difference superior nutrition can make in their pets-helping them
live long, healthy lives. Some of these events include the National Brittany
Championship, the ESPN Great Outdoor Games, the Master National Hunt Test-plus
various national specialties, agility events, humane society walks and various
dog and cat shows. We work with a wide variety of pet-interested groups to try
to get our message to every dog and cat owner so they can understand the
positive role that nutrition can play in their pets' lives.

Again, I appreciate you contacting us and giving us an opportunity to
respond-and hope this gives you an understanding of our position on involvement
in events, in general. In the end, our reason for being is focused on the dog
and cat. We try to reach their owners where they are most receptive to hearing
our message....from sporting to non-profit events.

Sincerely,
Sharon

I too have sent a message over... I can kinda see where they would want to support anyone with Dogs Sportsman/women or not... But as an avid sportsman I cannot and will not support anyone trying to take away those rights, and by joining forces, supporting the HSUS They have done this...
