RE: why female dogs?

I've had 2 femeles and now have a male.I was told to let them have at least 1 litter if you have kids and want a dog to watch the house also. The first one was a crazy and wild,I auctually got at pound, someone must have lost her.Once I got her under control, she was the best I had.I now have a big old close working male and Bo nose is right they really have personality. If I had to pick one I would be hard pressed to say.I guess,as I remember the femele may have been the best working dog but theat dumn old male is just a whole lot of fun.Boils down to I think the last one is always the best.

I have 3 female gsp's,They seem to be easier to handle then some males I've hunted with. But you have to deal with them coming in heat twice a year, hopefully not during hunting season if you want to hunt with your buddies male!!Great Breed Good Luck
