RE: name that dog
My dog's name is Shadow. I didn't pick it, I got him when he was 7 mo old. However I do call him Bucko and Buckwheat more than I call him Shadow. Ranger is another name I would consider for a dog.

RE: name that dog
It would be more fitting for a Black, but I like the name Angus. My current hound is called Timber.

RE: name that dog
I like outdoor names. I used Raven for my black lab, and Ivy for my springer. Some other names I considered where. Teal, Drake,
Birdy, Robin, and Briar. |
RE: name that dog
I have a friend who has a miniture doberman pincher pup, he name him Maximus Arilius(sp?). Max for short. That was the main the character in the movie Gladiator. I thought it was creative.

RE: name that dog
Some of it depends on the dog... Here are a few possibilities...
Herc (If the parents were big, nothing worse than naming a 50lb sized dog Herc) Buddy (if its friendly) Digger (for obvious reasons) Tug or Tugger (regarding to size) Or run with the chocolate theme... Reese (because your chocolate lab will be filled with peanut butter sooner or later, have you seen a lab around a garbage can?) Dark (as in dark chocolate, depends on coat color) Chunk Chip (mentioned previously I know) Jersey (go from Jersey cow to milk to milk chocolate) If you know the registered name of the parents it might give you/us more to work with. That way you can relate the offspring back to the line, etc. Ok Dark stinks, I admit it, but it came to mind so I wrote it down. |
