Default Ah man what did I do?

New puppy in 2 weeks. 67 years old and i take a new puppy....

Pictures to follow. Not sure if I will take the male or female. But my dog buddy of 30 plus yrs is keeping 2 pups out of his recent litters for his kennel and I offered to help.

I will be getting into German testing. I will also do the NAVHDA testing but am well versed in that after judging for 25 years.

I wonder how my current two old dogs will accept a new pup....

Let the fun begin.

Dang where did I put that other airline crate - truck has to have 3 now.

JW

ps...the breed is Deutsch Drahthaar

Those are some handsome looking dogs, the beard does look like it may need work but sure not as bad as it looks.

Grandfather got a new dog 6 years ago, he is 84 right now. People love what they love.

great versatile breed there for sure
and congrats to you, I think a pup will help keep you young and the older dogs, can be great leaders and teachers (good or bad influences LOL) pending the adult dogs at hand!
a good well rounded dog, is just that, a new pup should NOT be a problem if you ask me
look forward to seeing some pic's
and again, congrats to you!

Thanks,
Ole is 5 months, paws still bigger than his body, 55.7 lbs and quite fiesty.
He has taken to leash work well and now walks like a gentlemen with an occasional hair up his! :-)

Ranges well in the field and will check back in when I hide, has shown some natural backing/honoring, and his pointing abilities continue to get more intense. Its fun to watch him figure it out and then see the hunting excitement it created.
He is beginning to track very well.

While I'm brand new to the German testing , I am well versed in NAVHDA. Judged and handled around 25 yrs.
The breeder still owns this pup. His call but I think HZP first?
Think I got that correct.
