Rabbit Hunting with Beagles

My husband and I have a Beagle. We've had one before as well. Now my husband is wanting to get into hunting and add more Beagles to the mix. Is there any place that he could join a group hunting with a pack of Beagles in Colorado before making this investment of time and money? Any advise? He has hunted before and loves the breed but we're pretty new to this. Thank you.

You can hunt with one beagle too. I did for many years growing up. Maybe it can lose the trail a bit easier, but it will work if you have a good one. Actually we had more problems with two then one as the second beagle was messing up the one good one, so if you have multiple dogs you will have to make sure all are well trained. Shot many, many rabbits with my one beagle.

Same here. Sometimes hunted with my Dad and his beagle but only ever owned one at a time and never felt under dogged!
