Default Do You Have "Dog Goals" for 2015 ?

Do you have any particular goals for your dogs in 2015 ?

For us, my wife's dog Tucker (now age 6 yrs) will continue to run in HRC, probably some AKC tests and possibly some NAHRA.

For my Weezle, (now 5 months old) will be to pass a couple HRC Started tests and then to move on to Seasoned before the end of HT season.
Might run some AKC Junior and maybe Senior before the end of the HT season and if something comes along, run in NAHRA too.

Of course, both dogs will get to hunt a lot.

.

I met one of my goals today. I got my 6 mo, almost 7 mo old Llewllen setter on the blank gun today, she never indicated there were gunshots. Next goal next week, let her hear a shotgun, then shoot some birds her her if all goes right.

A while back on quail.

Yea. Getting it home from the breeder. Lol. We purchased an English Cocker and can't wait to get started with the training.

My Jämthund will be three years in the autumn. The goal is to shoot a moose for her during the upcoming hunting season.

My goal this year is to get all 5 of my female walkers trained to "come" to the truck using the Garmin Alpha 100 and the TT-10 collars. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

She is beautiful!! How far will she range out while she's working? I love a hard running pointing dogs for pheasants.

2eagles, sorry it took so long to get back to you. She she ranges out to 45 or 50 yards which is as far as I want her, I hunt on foot and do not field trial. She covers a lot of ground quartering and for a just 8 month pup I am very happy with her progress. I have hunted and killed birds over her twice since I made that post about getting her on the gun, it would have been more times but our weather has stunk lately.
