Female Dogs Live Longer if They Keep Their Ovaries
Due to skeletal concerns, I have always thought that there is sufficient evidence to not spay or neuter before 14 months of age.
Here is a new study that shows that female dogs live significantly longer than those spayed early. This study shows that females that are spayed prior to 4.5 years of age have a shorter life expectancy.

Take that to your Vet who wants to spay at 6 months of age ! ! !
I'll be interested to see if a similar study is done on males.

my vet 8 years ago followed me right out office after i presented info like this.
i had info from vet school that taught him .it said LYME SHOT gives dogs arthrithis.
he was mad and said,WHO SAID THAT.
i said, YOUR TEACHER.
he also said you should not give all shots like vets do to puppy and spread them out over a few weeks.
he got mad again, WHO SAID THAT. i said,YOUR TEACHER AT PITTSBURGH.
i waited 1 yr to nueter toby.
