dog beds?
 

My cousin is getting a hunting dog and to welcome him into the family, was thinking of getting him a bed for the dog. Anyone have any thoughts on the Ortho bed? http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=676352

I've never bought a dog bed. My wife makes the ones for our dogs. So they are made to fit our labs. She just uses a polyester pollyfill from walmart. No complaints from the labs.:)

save your money.ANY bed is hard to wash and keep clean.
buy those real soft beach towels with big nubbs on.
you can throw them in the wash ,grab a clean one and you are set to go.

heck of lot cheaper and easier on your life.

your welcome.life is so busy why make things hard on us. towel idea is best and was given to me by the top lab breeder.she has 11 labs in house.

my sister will not listen to me. she buys bed after bed for her dog. hundreds of dollars.
hard to wash and washer rips the beds.WASHER WILL RIP THE BED COVER AFTER A FEW WASHES.she WORKS all the time keeping beds clean as dog have accidents.

those towels with large nubbs are very soft too if you use fabric softner. get softner that is SCENT FREE.io also wash those towels in scent free detergent. arm/hammer powder comes in scent free and is about 7 dollars a box for 96 washes.

i have about 5 big soft towels for toby my lab to lay on. he loves them.

when dirty, i throw in wash after i get about 4 dirty.i wash them together as dogs have hair shedding and not with my regular wash.

I use a thin blanket. Small enough to fit in the wash, big enough to fold up and be comfortable. Someone donated it to me and it was so ugly I let my dog use it.

For indoor bedding, I just use pillows (with the pillowcase over them) and blankets.
