That about sums it up for sure. Depends on breeding, what the owner thinks there worth, part of the country their at and a ton of other things. I have seen fantastic dogs that were given away and also seen some high end dogs that were not worth the feed they were giving them.

here is top breeder in my area.they have prices .these dogs are from field hunting dogs.he hunts the parents and not raising the dogs for looks and style etc.
his puppys plain HUNT.he is FAIR on prices.600 for ep puppy.

I would expect a pup between 6 to 800

the other prices I would figure more of an older and 'started' dog.

Depends of the breeder. Reputable breeders sell their pups with health and return guarantee to approved customers for a fair price and will give advice on training or other problems even after they cashed the check.

People who try to make money or need to get rid of the dog sell to everybody for any price. There are rescues for every pure bred dog who will take care of the dog no matter what age.
