What books?
What are some books you guys have read and found helpful?
I just got a Chesapeake/Lab cross. Both parents were purebreds and it was an accidental breeding. (adopted him) Most of my hunting will be for pheasants, but I would like to get him on some ducks and geese as well. And, books for the puppy stages. Basic Obedience and the like. I have Water Dog, just wondering what other books you guys would recommend, might make a trip into town tomorrow. |
I like SmartFetch by Evan Graham
This will cover basic obedience and take you through force fetching your dog into blind retrieves. Good luck |
Walking with Wick!!!By far best I've ever seen

Some people call them cheasadors!! Have seen some that make some really good dogs. I really do not think there are many bad training books out there, just different variations of approaches and opinions.

The best source I have seen for early training is Jackie Merten's "Sound Beginnings" DVD. I would join a local club to find training groups who you can train with and show you how to train. Use the Wolter's book to level a sofa, makes for good tinder as well. |
