Default Dogs

Hey , i have just purchased a pure bread jack russel terrier pup, we named him toby, and also have a rottweiler cross lab, hes a pup but about 5 months something like that, toby is around 8 weeks?

i was wondering, what would be the best things to start these dogs off on and how would i go about dooing it.

also what is the best things to hunt with them,

i will post pics later when i have some

lab will hunt anything you train them to hunt.they like to RETRIEVE .they like WATER.learn dog to come,to sit, to drop something when you say DROP IT.SHOOT A 22 CAL AROUND HIM while training on what you want to hunt.if its birds, flush a bird, shoot 22 cal,i use blanks.when toby would run to where he thought the bird flushed, i carry a dummy grouse in y backpack, i would put grouse scent on it and when he was not looking, i threw it in the brush.after a FEW TIMES, HE LEARNED.

yeah:s only problem is, dappy the rottie cross lab, just wants to play with eerything, and toby the JR wants to kill evry thing:L

A friend I hunt with has a Jack Russell that he takes hunting. My shorthairs work the fields for birds and rabbits while his Jack will go into all the nasty briars and thickets to chase out the rabbits. Only problem is half the time the dog is within inches of the rabbit not allowing for a shot.
