RE: Pheasent hunting dogs
Beautiful dog, his facelooks alot like my female's- Zoe [on right side]. The 2 are bro and sis, I bought the boy and my wife fell in love with the female. Having two makes things easier because they have each other to play with. Gunner passed his Jr hunter title last month at 11 months old, now I am getting him ready for his senior title this fall. The female is my wife's and she is the bird craziest house dog you'll ever see. We have a quail pen in the back yard and she will sit for hours watching the quail. She was returned by her original owner in Maine who crated her 16 hours out of the day and from what I have seen she appears to have been abused. Cowers at the sight of rod and wing and forget using a whoa bar for training. She will be a work in progress for a long time to come.

My friend has a german short haired pointer. Smart dogs. My uncle gave me a black english lab about a year ago and I have been training her for upland and waterfowl. She has great instincs and has so much energy. She is a flusher though, my friend doesn't enjoy the fast pace that you have with a flusher. We'll see how it turns out though. Best of luckon next upland season.
