Electronic training collars
Looking for any info good or bad on the Dogtra Model 2000T&B trainer and beeper combo. I am considering this collar or the Tri-Tronics Sport 65 BPR. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks |

RE: Electronic training collars
I use all kinds of electronics in my training sessions, and can tell you Dogtra' s products have come a long way in a short period of time. I would probably now recommend their collars over both Innotek and DT Systems. I certainly prefer their remote launchers over all others.
Their reliability has yet to be proven over the long haul, however, and in order to surpass Tri-Tronics, they must clear that hurdle. So right now, I' d go with the Sport 65. Personally, I train with a Tri-Tronics Pro 200. So do most of the trialers/handlers that I train and compete with. Must be something to that... |

RE: Electronic training collars
Don' t know much about Dogtra. You can find Innotek collar on Ebay brand new for about $50-75 less than you can get one from a catalog or store. Also petsafe has a new model called the Sport Dog ( www.sportdog.net ) that has a 2 mile range and is priced at $200. I have been thinking about getting one for my beagles. What I like about the Dogtra, Sport Dog, and some of the Innotek collars is that they are compact. Seem to fit a smaller dog better. Some of those other collars are huge.
Good luck. |
