Carsick Dogs

Quite a few years ago, my Gordon (Jake) loved to ride in the truck, but he' d get carsick every time. I was telling one of my army buddies, and he said to go over and see the mechanics, and get a ground strap (static strap). Every vehicle in our unit had one, so the mechanics always had extra. My friend said his daughter used to get car sick, until someone suggested he try the ground strap, and it worked. Well, I put one on - maybe he grew out of it, maybe it was coincidence - but Jake never got sick again, in my truck. I can' t swear that this works, but for 3 bucks or whatever, it might be worth a try, for some of you. I' d be interested to know if anyone else has heard of this.

They' re used to dissipate static. They are usually made of black rubber, with metal fibres woven into the middle. They are bolted onto the frame, and drag on the ground, as you drive. I would expect that you could get them at an auto parts store. The ones I' ve seen look like flat black rubber, about an inch or inch and a half wide, 8-10 inches long, about an 1/8 inch thick.
