Got an English Walker Pup
 

Hey guys i just got an English Walker pup the other day he's about 6 or 7 weeks old now. I've never had a hunting dog before so i'm not real sure how to go about training him. I was wondering if anyone knewn of some websites that i could print some stuff off or some good books i could get my hands on. Also is there anything I could do with him at this young of age? I was gonna put a coon tail on a string and let him play around with it. Any tips and tricks will be greatly appreciated thanks.

At this point with pups I take them to the field for long walks and let them explore. I also cross shallow streams - nothing more than getting thier feet week 6 to 7 weeks is far too young - 3 to 4 months is when I do this. But at that age they get to go into the field.
