dog pedigrees....
 

i been looking at hounds in Coonhound Bloodlines lately, and want to make sure im reading the pedigrees right...say its like this...


Dog 1
Dog 2
Dog 3
Dog 4
Dog 5
Dog 6
Dog 7
Dog 8

Dog 9
Dog 10
Dog 11
Dog 12
Dog 13
Dog 14
Dog 15

i know dog 8 is the advertised dog or the dog they are talking about..dog 4 is the sire and 12 is the dam

this is where i am unsure, but think i am right...we will find out...


dog 1 is the sire of dog 2 and dog 3 is the sire of dog?
dog 5 is the sire and dog 7 is the dam of dog 6?
dog 2 is the sire and dog 6 is the dam of dog 4?

then...

dog 9 is the sire and dog 11 is the dam of dog 10?
dog 13 is the sire and dog 15 is the dam of dog 14?
dog 10 is the sire and dog 14 is the dam of dog 12??


am i reading those right?? hope my mock pedigree didnt confuse anyone...tried to use proper format..pretty sure im following them right...just checking...just trying to dig into what dogs are putting out what and that sorta thing...

You got the basics correct excepting this sentence. Dog 1 is the sire of dog 2 anddog 3 is the dam of dog 2.
