Never got the chance...
...to really show of my dog! This is DRAKE my 2.5 year old yellow lab. I trained him myself, well not really. For the last two years I worked for a dog trainer here in MN, no pay but I got to train my dog with his help, for free. I think it worked out. I couldn't be happier with him, he is my best friend. This is the one of the best pics I have of him. It's from last weekend, I hope you enjoy.

SMALL LONG LEGGED LAB IN ACTION.
in my opinion, by far the best all around dog,not best at grouse, rabbits,
beagle, setter, gsp is what i would use if i was after 1 dog for certain animal to hunt.
but if i was after the ALL AROUND DOG,no doubtin my mind, it would be SMALL LAB...

RE: Never got the chance...
there are not many dogs that can hunt birds, rabbits, squirreals, fox, coyotes ,then run into cold pond, river or wet deep swamp with mud etc.
i noticed those LONG LEGS AND SKINNY WAIST on your dog.
you got the lab i like ,not those big heavy blocky head labs 80/100 pds, they just cant handle field work as well as the small ones.

I have always liked the compact models better. Better runners, better swimmers, more stamina. My heaviest lab ever is that ol' boy you see there, hes 72 lbs. Long legged, but solid built.
