Good Training Book?

Has anyone read/used the book "The 10-Minute Retriever: How to Make a Well-Mannered, Obedientand Enthusiastic Gun Dog in 10 Minutes a Day" by John and Amy Dahl? I have a 4 year old golden retriever that I want to start working with. He has a strong instinct to retrieve now, I just want to tone it.
Any input would be welcome.
Dave

RE: Good Training Book?

It's a 100% very cool book, especially to end up with a very good meat dawg (hunting companion) and probably lower level Hunt Test stuff. If you want to go farther in Hunt tests, you probably need Smart Work (Evan Graham) or the Lardy Articles (Mike Lardy) -- but for a meat dawg that all your buddies will admire, ya can't go wrong with "The 10 Minute Retriever".

And, if you order it direct frowm their website www.oakhillkennel.com John & Amy will be more than happy to sign it for ya.
