I haven't done any business with them but, from what is written they sound like a good place to get a pup if that is what you are looking for. For as far as lineage is concerned it doesn't sound to bad to me, so good luck when you get your new pup.

We all don't buy Parkers or L.C. Smiths
anyways it is not the gun nor the dog it is what theshooter or handler is capable of and how much time they can invest in the shooting or training. Birds and Time on the ground make Bird Dogs/ Targets and Shells Make a Shooter. any Setter is a better (Upland) Hunting Companion than anything else.
A Bird Dog is a Lifetime Investment and the Benefits are Priceless.

As I recall, they saved a few Llews for field trials. They offered, nearly free to a few pro trainers. Other than that, they are seem to be heavily in the Bondu, Avie line. Both imports from Europe. What does surprise me is that they are not part of NALBA, North American Llewellin Breeders Association. But you are probably going to get a milder dog but with strong bird sense. The King's Bondu line tends to be that way. My dog has strong Avie Bondu lines (Lynnhill in her grandparents).

Everything should apply. Two year guarentee, OFA, PennHip, etc. I wouldn't worry too much on seeing the parents hunt, at the worst you'll get an average hunter. Not many Llews are duds. The only real duds I've seen are gunshy, all man-made.

i almost bought a orange belton from them..i like lewellin over other setters..i have lab now and i felt that bringing 2 dogs in my home was too much for me and i have sickness in family..

setters are great at grouse, for sure but the small lab is all around dog..

if you have room, get setter and a lab,i wish i could..

you are right..i had to think back at best beagles i had were dogs i hunted a LOT and there was lots of rabbits here in pa.40 years ago, now, hunting is awful here..

time in woods makes the dog, i believe also but if no game is there, it makes it hard..

i hunt my lab for grouse and its hardhunting here in pa..but he gives it his all and gets better all time ..

so as you said, lots of birds and time will make almost any dog a good hunting dog, both are hard to come by today on state hunting lands..

Guys .... when refering to Setters .... what is a "Belton"?

RE: Thoughts on future pup

The Show Folks use that term. I think it refers somehow to color.
A Lady once called me and asked for a Blue Belton pup. I found out she wanted a Black and White Dog. (She didn't get one from me)

belton means two colors usually white and another. Like orange belton or blue belton.
