Bird Dogs?
 

I was just wondering what would be the best kind of dogs for hunting Chukar, Besides a German Shorthair.

German Wirehaired Pointer, Setters, English Pointers, Brittany's and many more. As I have said before, your dog must be in shape (conditioned) to go for a good day of Chukar hunting. I don't think any one breed stands out more than the others particularily. My brother raises English Setters and I have German Wirehaired Pointers.
We usually goose and duck hunt(yes his Setters retieve waterfowl, even in ice water) for a couple hours then go Pheasant hunting for a couple hours and if we feel up to it we go Chukar hunting.
