RE: training

Training (pre-school / kindergarten) begins the day you bring your puppy home....as well as crate training, house-breaking etc.

What do you have planned for the future with your dog? Purely a "meat dawg" - Hunt Tests - Field Trials - some kind of combination.

What book(s) or tape(s) do you have for your training program?

Foir a good old meat dog, I'd suggest "The 10 Minute Retriever", by John and Amy Dahl. You can get it straight from their website at www.oakhillkennel.com

RE: training

There are a lot of retriever clubs out there with members that have trained dogs before. I'd suggest trying to hook up with someone who has done it before.
