My beagle got rattler bite.
 

I have a beagle(Thumper) that didn't come back to me,and didn't come out with the rest of the pack.I looked for him for 3hrs. and finnaly found him where I put him out,carring a front leg.
I looked at the leg think it was broken.it was swelled to three time the normal size.when I turned him over there on the under side just above the knee was the fang marks.
I have been giving him raw eggs and milk with vitiams in it,extra doses of anitbotic,Penicilin.
That was Sat. about noon, this morning he was a lot better,he got up and wanted loveing. I think he will make it now. the swelling has gone down a lot.

that is the first one I have ever had bitten.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

Tree, I was out running my beagles yesterday with a few other boys, the dogs handent jumped or even opened on a rabbitt and one of the boys started shooting , I asked him what he was shooting at and he didnt awnser me so I went to him, He was still standing in the same spot looking down,he looked at me and said "I got me a trophy" then held up a 6 foot rattler! seems he steped on it !!!!!!! Lucky for him the snake had a rabbitt in its bellie and couldnt move fast.
