Anyone use sight hounds for hunting big game or small? And if so, how well did they work out? Love to hear stories!

I have a friend who runs then for coyotes. He says as long as he gets them into the open there is no getting away. But he said they have a tendency to lose the scent pretty easy.He usually will run them in open pastures.It sure would be fun to watch!!
