what do you guys think about deer hunting with dogs do you do it or not

I'm surprized no one has commented yet. You hit a very touchy subject, from what I can gather it depends in whichstate / province you live in as to the reply you will get .Some feel it is unsportsman like while others feel that it is the highlight of the hunt . Ilove hearing the hounds on a race, somehow a crisp cold Nov morning is not that cold anymore :)

here in south carolina especially in low state where i am its a tradition everybody does it i really dont care for it scares deer

originallyfrom the midwest I thought it was the strangest thing ever when I moved to Virginia and found out they hunt deer with dogs and buckshot. I tried it and am now hooked. Woods here are so thick that you almost have to use dogs to get the deer moving.
