RE: pointinglabs at 7weeks- genetic or not?
Lets see the pups in a month running loose on a bird, no check cord or nothingand then we'll decide. Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell, be nice if was. Makea very biddable pup. But then again, if any pressure getsused to encourage point, what part of desire will it take away from? The wing is a start, put a bird out, they are old enough. Mighty fine looking K9's Thanks Jonesy

I am not being a smarty either, I just started a topic, couple days ago about this. I am curious, I don't want them in the flight pen, dizzy up a bird and work a pup, or both then lets see the response, I am in no way critisizing the dogs or their work!! Promise, I worked a chocolate that came out of wis. earlier in the spring, I think the dog done very well, and did make it steady to wing, with the tail half way up, but what I did notice is that if I was not on top of at all times, it was flushing, until I made steady. This dog was supposed to be bred that way. That's why I am wodering so much about man made or genetics. I am in belief, any thing can be done, just wondering about doing it to the breed? Basically it will be a brittany in blk fur. I train all breeds, so I am not poking at you! Just wondering?? Thanks Jonesy

Here is Casey (age 12 weeks)on a Natural -- no check cord -- point. Admittedly, it was a sight point. The Grouse is straight out in a line from his nose, just past the fallen tree.
