Thinning hair
 

My GSP's coat is thinning on her sides, chest, inside of her legs and is almost bald on the tops of her ears.Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I had her to the vet last week and he said he thought it could be old age. (she is only about 7 or so) What do you guys think. Doc E waiting for you to weigh in on this one.

How much have you been hunting her (with her bustin' brush ?)
Same food now as always? What brand and variety?
How's her appetite?

We have only hunted two days in the last two weeks about 4 hours each time. Both times she came home with a raw chest, due to the thin hair on her chest, never had that problem in past years. Her hair was thin before hunting season. Same food as the day I brought her home, Dimond High Pro the green bag. she eats really well. Always eats all that is put down, three cups a day. sometimes she leaves a little and comes back for it later. Yes she is busting brush but mostly grass.

I'd take her to your Vet and have a Thyroid Panel done.
