Got my Drahthaar Pup on Friday!!
 

Biebe is home and is doing well. She is very bold and agressive and a real pistol. She has a nice flat coat that is very thick and already has some furnishings coming in. Starting new pups is so much fun!

Are you training by yourself? If so, how did you learn. I need advice. I am buying a drahthaar in 2-3 years.

I can do some training myself. Pointing and retrieving work is stuff I have a decent amount of experience training. Blood trailing, tracking, and duck search will require some help from some folks I met with the VDD. A nice group of people and everyone seems to enjoy helping a guy out with a new pup. This weekend I may introduce her to birds for the first time.

Glad to hear you got your pup AM. Stinkbelly if you join the VDD most of the chapters have training days. If you are lucky enough to live close to the breeder you will find most of the breeders will be very helpful. You will also find most of the individuals in the group will be very helpful. Most everyone in the VDD wants the breed to succeed as a whole.
