no it will not make him any worse hunter,but why would you want to neutere him??

It will make no difference in the hunting. However he will jump on kids less, go wandering less, fight with other dogs less, be more polite, and more calm. Sounds like a good sacrafice to me.

He'll hunt just fine. To get the best effect you should neuter them before they start hiking and marking and it ussually never starts. Pointers even hunt better when neutered because they don't get as involved with sniffing for territory markings or marking territory.
