Does anybody know any good places to go for turkey in upstate SC, around the Clemson, Greenville, Anderson area? Any information would be helpful, lookin forward to the turkey season here, but have to travel to the Charleston area because I don't know any good places here.

hey clemsonhunter, there's a DNR office right off of clemson's campus. They have maps of all the public lands around. Keowee is the closest after fant's grove, and its 10 minutes at the most from clemson. but there's other public land 20-30 minutes away.

clemsonhunter, I graduated from Clemson in May. What is your major? I grew up about 45 minutes away from Clemson in a town called Iva which is in the lower part of Anderson county. We have plenty of turkeys there. I live in Aynor now so I am not up there as much, but any Clemson fan is more than welcome to come hunting when I'm home. I coon hunt mostly, but I can put you on the birds. TK

clemsonhunter,
Plenty of good places around Clemson to bag a bird...although FG is a bit ate up with Hunters. If you bowhunt, Keowee is a good place to get your bird. I got one 2 years ago up there. Hunting can be tough but the birds are pretty good size. I currently am going to Clemson for a Civil Eng. degree and have hunted FG and Keowee for the past 3 years with pretty good sucess. Shoot me an email if you want: [email protected] |
