FL Hunters Please Help.

Well i got a few questions. This year (2005) is going to be my first year ever to hunt. I got all my gear ready, my hunters safety course and all. Now i dont really know what to do from here. What do i have to do next? Do i need to buy certain permits and where? Do i need to send applications? What do i need to do? Im planning to hunt some WMA. Can someone please try to help me out away here. Its my first time so dont know all the paper work i need to do. Please help.

First you need to decide exactly where and what you are going to hunt then best thing would go to the FWCC websight and it will tell you exactly what permits are needed. Regulations for the 2005 season are not posted yet, they normally come out in June but that will be plenty of time for you to send off any qouta permit applications you might need. You can also go by or call your regional office and get all the info you will need. Here is the link to their websight.

I'm from Central Florida
1. Type in Florida Hunting Regulations on your computer. That site has every WMA rules, seasons and maps you will ever needbecause each are different.

The season starts about late Sept. in Florida. Around Sept. go to Walmart and buy the following...
one Florida hunting license About 25.00
one WMA Permit About 20.00
If you plan to bow hunt An Archery Permit 5.00
And in case you see a turkey during archery season 5.00 The WMA areas are open one day early for scouting. God Bless You, Chuck
