question for VA hunters
I'm trying to find out the rules for using rifles to hunt fox and other predators in Caroline and King William Counties. I use a .17 remington and a buddy of mine uses a .22 hornet. As I read the rules, both of these calibers fit under the laws stated in the game regulations manual. My buddy insists that you can only use rimfire rifles in both counties.
Caroline- No rifle larger than a .22 for hunting except groundhogs outside of the regular hunting season. King William-No hunting with a rifle larger than .22 or shotgun slugs during deer season. |

PJ
My hunt club has a small tract of land off rt 30 just past the Caroline line in King William. I've been asking around for some land in the area to just fox hunt. If you know anyone who may want to get rid of a few fox let me know. |
RE: question for VA hunters
beagleman28 ... I know where you are talking about ...
I haven't seen a fox in my woods, but I have a feeling there's a bobcat family living near the swamp. |
