RE: southern hospitality

Sounds like you just met a lot of jerks where you live.
I'm in NC and have some "damn yankees" living around here. I helped him and his son get some land to hunt on before he owned any.
Guess I just felt sorry for him eh? lol.;)

We ain't all like that. I'd try to meet some new hunting partners.
What city are you near?

Southerner's are more hospitable...or so I hear. I have never been north so I don't know. But if nothing else, warmer climates usually make people more friendly. Colder climates make people more irritable and less friendly all in all. Most southerners will talk to ya in a store, shake your hand, hold the doors, call each other maam/sir, etc.

I also don't really consider NC all that south...

When I think of "Southerner" I think, Mississippi, Bama, Arkansas, Lousiana, Georgia...

As far as I'm concerned, NC is way to close to Yankeeland to be griping over them being non-hospitable. :D

Oh come on lx3, not everyone is against you! It takes a big feller to go to a southern hunting forum and tell everone that their hospitality sucks! I do understand where you are coming from, some do not. I also wish you luck in finding better folks to hunt with. Keep looking, they are out there!
