hunting fl west coast
 
i am going to the west coast of fl in dixie county the first week of dec did the storms mess up the hunting very much. i have hunted this area on and off for over 35 years and have always had good hunting for deer.hogs and tree rats

Not sure about Dixie county, but usually the hurricane activity messes up the two trail roads in the areas, but by now most of them should have been cleared out.

nc bearhunter,have you ever hunted Waukula,Jefferson and Taylor counties in the west Fl coast? Aucilla is the management area.
You have to draw a permit starting the 1st of June. Six hundred hunters allowed on over 60k acres and it covers 3 counties.All
hunters will have different dates asigned,except the 1st ten days.There is no camping on management area,but alot of private
grounds around.This is my stumping grounds for years.Alot of black bears in area,but FL has BAN on them.I carry side arm incase.
Dogs allowed East of Hwy 98 only.Perry Fl. is a management area also in Taylor county right next to it, another 50k.
