SNAKES!

RE: SNAKES!
Snakes shouldn't be enough to keep you from hunting. They aren't the menace that everyone makes them out to be. I have hunted snakes commercially for years, though not any more, and I have found them to be one of the more harmless critters in the woods. A good pair of boots will provide protection from most bites, but I have not had to test that yet, thank goodness. Snakes would much rather slither away or stay still and hope to go unnoticed than to bite. For them, their venom is their livlihood. No venom, no dinner! They may put on a pretty good show, but they would prefer not to waste venom they don't have to.
For me, a spider is a much bigger problem. I can't stand the creepy little things. There isn't a couple feet difference between the blunt end and the sharp end like a snake. Darned things have not boundaries. They like shoes, shower curtains, closets, everything. And to think the average person eats 6 spiders in their sleep! Oooo! And to top it off, the U.S. banned all the good chemicals that can kill them good and dead. Thank God for Mexico. They still know how to make a good indoor insecticide.
Note: I said the snakes won't hurt you, but they can make you hurt yourself.
