I think the naacp is loitering at them rest areas. but if the pOlice was to run them off it would be &quot;racial profiling&quot; or discrimination! so what white folk is scared to stop at the rest area!

I believe it will increase tourism if the NAACP boycotts the place. Sounds like another reason to vacation in SC! Hilton Head, Here I come BABY! The NAACP does more to hurt race realtions in this country than any other group in history. Racist pieces of trash they represent are a barrier to race relations... I wish they would boycott GA, but then Atlanta would have to shut down operations!

mudfish ,they dont care about the 90,000 black confederate soldiers or anyone else for that matter. they just want to see if they can get it removed.
they call themselves the national association for the advancement of colored people . i havent seen them fight for those red colored people on the reservations. or anyone else but what they feel is wanted by the few. jesse jackson is the same he really does nothing for blacks but doesnt mind black mailing money out of companys and government so he can pay his child support and his lavish lifestyle.
i had a lot of respect for condalesa rice until i saw her accept an award from the naacp. i lost alot for her. she should have refused the award.in my opinion that would be kind of like bush accepting an award from the klan. it wouldnt fly!!!

Just another sign of ignorance on their part. they didn't pay attention in history class. The war wasn't fought over slavery, it was fought predominantly over TAXES and tariffs. No one up north gave a hoot about slavery until the war was almost over. Remember... heritage not hate.

The good people of South Carolina have spoken through their representitives in Columbia. The people have decided that the flag be taken from the capital dome( this was the NAACP's first demand and apparently not enough) and placed on the grounds near a Confederate memorial.
States are supposed to be soveriegn members of our union. I think it is time for the NAACP and for that matter the rest of the nation to mind their own darn business.

I have never been a Confederate Flag waver but I am becoming one.

Duke13- Hear! Hear! Our flag sux and Roy Barnes is going to pay for it with his job. If we could just get our friends, family and neighbors to vote Republican and break the Democrat stranglehold on our statehouse we might have decent flag and state for that matter.

If,I were the state of SC i would have hug 2 more on the capitol to go with the one allready there.I have lived in the south for over 60+ years and I have never had the notion that the rebel flag ment raceism,I think its a shame that money and a few can change a whole states idea of thinking,and that making money comes before a man,or states principles.

We've decided to go to Myrtle Beach, SC, this year instead of Daytona. I like Daytona alots better but duty calls.

I for one think Duke13 hit it on the head as for the georgia flag. It should have gone back to the pre 1962 edition or better yet the original version. But what we have now is a muddled up version that makes no body happy. The political corectness of this day in age is sickning! I guess in the end we will fly a white flag?
